Britney Spears has been quietly released from a hospital today (Wed 6th), in contrast to her arrival with an extensive escort of more than a dozen police officers in cars, on motorcycles and in helicopters, paparazzi in tow.

Her incognito getaway from UCLA Medical Center required no police, said Capt. Sharyn Buck, commander of the North Hollywood police station, which covers the area where Spears’ home is located.

“There was no media, no paparazzi, and no need for public safety protection,” Buck said. Britney was hospitalized on January 31st and held for a 72-hour evaluation that was originally set to expire Sunday. Her stay was then extended for two weeks which may explain why she was able to avoid attention on her way out.

Spears remains under the temporary conservatorship of her father, an arrangement created after a judge determines a person can no longer care for themselves or their personal affairs. Her father, James, was named conservator of Spears, and he and attorney Andrew Wallet were made co-conservators of the estate.

As her conservator, Spears’ father has been granted access to all of her medical records and authority to determine where Spears lives and who she sees.

 After getting out of the hospital, Britney Spears spent her first night at home with her mom, dad and paparazzo pal Adnan Ghalib. But how did everyone get along?

"From what I was told, everything was very civilized," a source close to the photographer tells PEOPLE.

After Spears's unexpected release from UCLA Medical Center on Wednesday, "Britney called Adnan to meet her at the Beverly Hills Hotel. He had been talking with Lynne and Jamie for the past few days," says the source.

Spears and Ghalib had a brief meeting with lawyer Adam Streisand, who announced Thursday that he is off the case. The pair then met up with mom Lynne and dad Jamie.

Ghalib also confirmed in a posting on his photo agency's Web site that he "has been in contact with her parents."

"As the day unraveled, they have all agreed to get Britney safely back to her home so she can get the medical care and love that she deserves," says the posting on the FinalPixx site. "After spending most of the evening with The Spears [family] at The Summit, Adnan left and went back home at 2:30 a.m.... to give the family some alone time."

Lynne Spears left her daughter's home just after midnight Thursday , while dad Jamie remained there through Thursday morning.

The court hearing today just came to an end, and for once we know nothing! TMZ is doing their best to uncover the dirt, but for now are clueless: "court spokesman Allan Parachini tells TMZ, 'Everything about this matter is sealed' -- and cannot disclose even why they are in court."

TMZ continues to say "we have learned, however, that a motion filed today by Spears' conservator was unopposed, and that nothing has changed -- Jamie and attorney Andrew Wallet are still the co-conservators."
